Course Description: OSHA #7110 is a 1 day OSHA safety awareness course for individuals involved in bolting applications. Course topics include safe operation and handling of high powered bolting tools, pressure vessels and piping, machinery or mechanical joints and structural connections. The instructional method is facilitated, interactive training, short modules of information and small group exercises allow for both learning and continual assessment by the lead instructor.
The target audience is first line mechanical operators including millwrights, pipefitters and those who work with mechanical joints as part of their daily work.
Upon completing the course, participants have the ability to understand the basic technology of bolted joints, safety principles associated with tool selection and operation, workplace conditions, bolting methods and procedures, and have gained knowledge and skills to recognize when there is danger present in a bolting application.

On-site courses can be customized to the client’s application. The ideal class size is 10-15 participants with some experience with bolted joints or a mechanical aptitude.
