NCSH 481 Process Safety Management A Refreshing Approach to Managing Health and Safety

Course Description: This four-day course will provide a refreshing approach to managing health and safety, not just for chemical processes, but for any institution where an effective health and safety management system is either absent or needing improvement.  For some attending this course, your interest may be driven by the need for your organization to comply with the OSHA Process Safety Management Standard in General Industry 29 CFR 1910.119 or Construction 29 CFR 1926.64.  For others, this presentation may be viewed as a great idea for managing a Health and Safety Program.  Other voluntary standards and concepts will also be presented. This course is conducted by a team of four practicing professionals representing private industry and government.  During the course, students will participate in seven group exercises, discuss numerous case studies and Chemical Safety Board investigations and benefit from the personal experience of the instructional team.
