This course covers safety and health management responsibilities. Participants will be able to implement a workplace Safety and Health Management Program (SHMP) according to OSHA’s Recommended Practices for Safety and Health Programs and related guidance. The course covers the fundamentals of occupational safety and health management program (SHMP), SHMP recordkeeping requirements, and how to assess workplace safety and health management program.
The minimum contact hours for this course are 18 hours.
Instructor’s notes: This course applies to general industry, maritime, agriculture and construction. This is designed for people with a SHMP that they want to refine or improve, or someone that does not already have a program. The course also covers transitioning safer chemicals, business continuity planning and environmental hazards. In this class you will be able to identify areas of improvement and leave with a list of next steps you can implement.
